Food Testing Laboratory Strengthens its Sensory Testing and Shelf Life Studies Services Lab Continues to Expand Capabilities to Meet Growing Demand from the Food Industry
GAINESVILLE, Fla., June 3, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ABC Research Laboratories is pleased to announce the update to the latest version of Compusense software to its food sensory panel evaluation and shelf life studies services. The food safety and quality testing laboratory updated their sensory capabilities with the latest version of the software on June 24th, 2013.
"What truly excites us most about using Compusense five is the opportunity it provides us to better serve the food industry," commented Dr. Gillian Folkes Dagan, chief scientific officer with ABC Research. "We are constantly looking for ways to improve the ABC Research experience, and while this is a behind the scenes improvement, those who come to us for sensory panel evaluation will notice a significant improvement in turnaround time, as well as increased opportunities to answer questions about their product."
Common sensory evaluation questions ABC Research encounters include, "Do consumers like my product?" to "How does my product compare to the competition's products?" to "Does my product vary in different regions?"
Since 1967, ABC Research Laboratory has offered safety, quality, and nutritional testing to every facet of the food industry spectrum. Originally a microbiological testing laboratory focused on the beef industry, ABC Research quickly expanded to include a full chemistry laboratory, water testing laboratory, and comparative advertising benchmark testing for food preparation and storage devices. In 2013, the testing laboratory unveiled Actionable Quality Assurance (AQA), a cloud based supply chain quality assurance management platform.
"With the introduction of AQA and our continued upgrading of our sensory panel and shelf life studies, 2013 is proving to be one of the most exciting years in ABC Research's history," added Dagan. "At its core, ABC Research passionately provides the best food safety, quality, and nutritional value experience anywhere, and these services will continue to build on that foundation as the company continues to grow."
