For Debut at 26th Annual ICFF in May, Schotten & Hansen Adapts Luxury Floor Surfaces to Modern Table Design
NEW YORK, May 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ICFF is attended by interior design A-lister's, looking to explore the latest trends, products and manufacturer debuts in the luxury interior design arena.
The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) is North America's largest show highlighting the latest trends in global Interior Design. The show includes exhibitions of contemporary furniture, flooring, textiles, wall coverings, accessories, lighting and more. ICFF is celebrating its 26th anniversary, May 17-20th and will include exciting new exhibitors and product debuts, which is good news for busy New York designers.
One noteworthy new exhibitor is Schotten & Hansen, a wide plank wood flooring, furniture and wooden surface designer/manufacturer based in Germany. Its booth will showcase the masterfully hand-crafted, luxury interiors inhabited by its clientele. The booth floor, walls and ceiling structure are all clad with Schotten & Hansen's trademark textured wood surfaces and finishes. Debuting at ICFF and at the center of the impressive booth will be the Tribeca table and chair. Designed by Francisco Cortina (of Swedish-Mexican duo Cortina-Kall) to have strong, sculptural lines and clearly contemporary expression, the table and chair are finished with Schotten & Hansen's sophisticated wood surface. As Cortina explains, the Tribeca line "is a special opportunity to use Schotten & Hansen's proven oiled and waxed surfaces as a basis for design. Combined with pure Aniline leather and polished brass, the Tribeca table & chair are designed, engineered and crafted to withstand the passing of time. The mark of true quality and sustainability." The open design of the booth is welcoming and will allow attendees to discover the impeccable design elements and experience the elegance embodied by Schotten & Hansen wooden interiors.
Schotten & Hansen boasts an impressive US and International client list, including the leading design firms Foster + Partners, Christian Liaigre, Ferguson & Shamamian, Victoria Hagan, and David Collins among others. Over the past 2 years the company has expanded to 7 major US markets and recently opened its first dedicated New York office.
The New York luxury real estate market is red hot and the design community will descend upon the Javits Center this May for fresh ideas to service these clients. Open to the trade May 17-19th and to the public May 20th. ICFF boasts 500+ exhibitors from over 30 countries, and draws 29,000+ attendees from the high end US and international design community to 165,000sf of exhibition space. With the hottest market in years and new exhibitors like Schotten & Hansen adding to the luxury pedigree, the 26th annual ICFF should not be missed.
