Former LA Dodger Develops Online Television Sports Network for Amateur, Student and Youth Athletes
BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former player with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Eddie Davis, has developed an online television network for amateur, youth and student athletes, called RawSkills.com. The site allows athletes to upload, stream and download their games and other content, enabling them to promote themselves to college and major league scouts. The site also allows scouts to view users' footage to search for talent. Sports teams, organizations, and other sports companies can also upload, manage and monetize their games and sporting events to consumers using the RawSkillsTV platform. In addition to increasing player exposure and providing schools at every level an innovative fundraising method, RawSkills also aims to provide highlights of the games, in an ESPN SportsCenter-style, as well as educational material and training advice from the pros.
"I started RawSkills because it is something I could have used as a young athlete; that need still exists today for many athletes, their schools and their parents," said CEO Eddie Davis. RawSkills also helps schools to fundraise, a major issue in youth sports. The need is even more prevalent at small high schools and universities, where athletic programs don't have as much funding to recruit talent. "RawSkills gets everyone in the game: athletes from smaller schools, that normally aren't a priority for recruiters, can put themselves in front of college and professional scouts; families can watch loved ones who are involved in sports across the country and adult athletes can enjoy a superstar experience by viewing their games in a professionally produced manner."
