DENVER, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Trust Company of America today announced the appointment of Robert R. Paradise to its Board of Directors. Until his retirement earlier this year, Mr. Paradise was publisher of Barron's, The Dow Jones Business and Financial Weekly. "Bob brings a strong communications and media background coupled with an extensive knowledge of the financial services industry which will be a welcome addition to our Board," said Stephen A. Finn, Trust Company's Chairman, President and CEO. "We're very pleased that he is joining us." Mr. Paradise has had a distinguished career in financial publishing and communications. He joined Dow Jones in 1961 and served on the staff of The Wall Street Journal in positions of increasing responsibility until 1985 when he was appointed Vice President/Administration of the Dow Jones Magazine and International Groups. In 1987 he was named President of Dow Jones South, the firm's South American publishing affiliate. In 1988 Mr. Paradise assumed the position of publisher of Barron's while continuing his responsibilities for Dow Jones South and the Magazine Group. In 1995 he assumed the added responsibility of CEO of Dow Jones Financial Publishing, the publishers of Investment Advisor, Asset Management and Realty Stock Review.
