Former San Jose Police Chief Chris Moore Joins Rivada Networks
WASHINGTON, May 10, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Rivada Networks LLC is pleased to announce that Christopher Moore has joined the firm and will serve as Senior Vice President. Mr. Moore recently retired as Chief of Police at the San Jose (CA) Police Department after serving for over 30 years as a first responder in the public safety community. Chief Moore will also join the Rivada Board of Directors.
Chief Moore played a leading role in the nationwide public safety effort to secure the 700 MHz "D" Block spectrum and funding for the deployment of a nationwide interoperable public safety broadband network. "As the founding Chairman of the Public Safety Alliance (PSA), Chief Moore was instrumental in bringing the public safety community together and forged a consensus that ultimately led to the FirstNet legislation," said Rivada CEO Declan Ganley. "We are pleased to have him on board as we all work together to make the nationwide public safety broadband network a reality."
In addition to his first responder experience, Chief Moore also served as a White House Fellow at the US Department of Justice and was the recipient of a Fulbright Police Research Fellowship in the United Kingdom.
