Former Senate Majority Leaders Tom Daschle and Trent Lott To Speak at New Bipartisan Policy Center 'On Leadership' Series
Daschle and Lott will discuss leadership in the Senate and politics during a heated 2012 election cycle
WASHINGTON, Jan. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former Senate Majority Leaders Tom Daschle and Trent Lott will give a behind-the-scenes reflection on their experiences leading the Senate as part of the Bipartisan Policy Center's (BPC) new "On Leadership" series next Thursday, January 19, 2012. Daschle and Lott, a BPC founder and Senior Fellow, respectively, will share their personal approaches to the role of majority leader and the challenges of leading the Senate in an increasingly polarized Washington.
Future events in the "On Leadership" series will examine leadership in the House of Representatives, judiciary and other institutions. Watch the first event in the series, which took place last November, featuring John Rowe, Chairman and CEO of Exelon, here. This event is sponsored by the Henry M. Jackson Foundation.
