WILMINGTON, Del., March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FORTUNE magazine today named DuPont (NYSE: DD) among the 50 "Most Admired Companies" in the world for 2010.  FORTUNE cited the company for its innovation, financial soundness, people management and social responsibility where DuPont ranked no. 1 in each of the categories within its industry. Overall, DuPont moved up three spots from last year to no. 49 in 2010.

FORTUNE's "Most Admired Companies" list is widely considered among the leading indicators on corporate reputations.  FORTUNE surveyed 1,400 companies around the world: the FORTUNE 1,000, non-U.S. companies in FORTUNE's Global 500 database with revenue of more than $10 billion and the top foreign companies operating in the United States.
