Peterman, an experienced media executive whose career has focused on building, acquiring and operating interactive media and commerce businesses, has been named president of The J. Peterman Company. John Peterman will remain active in the company, and become the chairman. Tim Peterman, 40, joins the family business after serving six years at The E.W. Scripps Company, a diversified media enterprise based in Cincinnati. In his role as senior vice president of corporate development for Scripps, Peterman helped guide the company's expanding presence in the Internet commerce marketplace. Peterman will leave Scripps to join The J. Peterman Company on April 1. "Tim is uniquely qualified to help us continue to build The J.
