NEW YORK, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Franco-American Financier and Activist Guy Wyser-Pratte noted today that he was not surprised in the least that Arnaud Lagardere in his interview with Le Figaro this week had resorted to misinformation and smear tactics in a feeble attempt to discredit him at the eleventh hour leading up to the Lagardere SCA (MMB.PA) 2010 AGM/EGM.  Mr. Wyser-Pratte stated: "It will be abundantly clear to shareholders that have done their research, that Arnaud Lagardere is desperately trying to misinform them in order to preserve his time on the tennis court, at his house in Florida where he spends most of his time, and to protect his outrageous unearned salary and perks from shareholder scrutiny. To make matters worse, he seems to think that personal family obligations trump corporate responsibility and that his explanation about his dubious use of put options -- betting against his own Company -- is explainable or even worse acceptable." He further noted: "Shareholders are not that naive. His absolute contempt for Lagardere shareholders and their rights speaks for itself. It is time he is held accountable for his actions not in the best interests of shareholders."

Mr. Wyser-Pratte urged shareholders to send Arnaud Lagardere a clear message and support his two resolutions being presented at the 2010 AGM/EGM to be held on April 27.
