Gals Starting Over, is a non-profit organization started as vision from the founder, Holly Richards, after some life changes in her professional career and personal life. Holly with her own community support has built a board of professional members that are committed to create a safe and supportive environment with a soft heart for single mothers. She and her selected coaches are using their professional experiences and personal life history to give back to each individual that comes through the program.
The GSO mission is to change how we, as a community, empower women to build their skills and confidence to achieve self-sufficiency.
Gals Starting Over (GSO) was founded here in the South Bay to help women, especially single moms, who are unemployed or underemployed find and keep a job. The founder, Holly Richards, explains the process of how GSO works. GSO first builds a community of training and support for the women by gathering community volunteers, businesses and educators. Then GSO, through a local community sponsor such as St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, our South Bay community sponsor, recruits applicants and provides employment workshops in a series along with two months of one-on-one support for the workshop graduates.
To sponsor future Employment Workshop Series or to provide financial support for these activities or in kind donations, please contact Holly at email@example.com. .
