Galtech Announces Further Progress in Development of Semiconductor Materials

    PROVO, Utah, Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Galtech Semiconductor Materials Corp.
 (OTC Bulletin Board:   GTSM) today announces that after finishing construction
 of its testing and production facility, it has now completed the calibration
 and testing of production equipment and the facility is now operational.
 While completion was delayed due to additional modifications to process
 instrumentation, Galtech will now begin production trials to improve its
 crystal growth process in their new facility.
     Galtech is an innovative research and development company with its
 beginnings in the development and manufacture of high quality, specialty,
 compound semiconductor materials.  Galtech was reorganized in 1998 to
 manufacture compound semiconductor materials and is based in cadmium telluride
