Guide will be offered as a private-label portal to Garrett's national network of hourly-based, fee-only financial planners.

Guide provides advisors and their clients with the ability to conduct holistic cash flow analysis, and quickly and easily establish and track progress towards a range of financial goals. The software is designed to be used collaboratively, by advisors and clients, with instant access to comprehensive cash flow reports and the ability to monitor account balances, including held-away asset and liability accounts.
Garrett will offer its advisor network a private-label version of the software, incorporating a number of new collaborative features to enhance the client experience. This includes tracking all conversations across specific topics; the ability for advisors and clients to share notes specific to a conversational thread; automated intelligent alerts to notify clients and advisors about key events (meeting or exceeding a specific goal, unusual transactions, and trends that could impact an investment portfolio, for example); and the ability to link "To Do" items and deadlines to discussion threads.
A new generation of investors
Guide estimates there are as many as 20 million households with assets between $100,000 and $1,000,000 that are underserved by current financial planning models. The company makes it possible for advisors to profitably address this market through software that engages the client in an interactive process with the advisor, shifting the focus to clients' most important cash flow and planning needs, while automating many of the costly and time-consuming functions that historically made middle-class households more challenging to serve.
Guide provides fully automated onboarding and uses real-time information to constantly update an individual's financial plan. Guide's software will integrate with major custodial platforms and broker/dealers, along with data provided through a partnership with Intuit, which provides users with secure access to accounts at 19,000 financial institutions across North America. Access to real-time data allows both the advisor and the client to constantly monitor progress towards a goal – e.g. down payment for a mortgage, college savings, or retirement – and to make adjustments accordingly.
