Garth Hutton Named Corporate Director of Nursing at Dade Medical College
MIAMI, Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- On October 19, 2012, Garth Hutton – previously Director of Nursing for Dade Medical College's (DMC) Hollywood campus – was named Corporate Director of Nursing. Hutton will be responsible for the successful and efficient operation of all of DMC's Nursing programs, and will continue the great work already started by Sharon Rodriguez—who will be taking over as Dean of the School of Nursing at the University of Southernmost Florida (USmF), a DMC learning affiliate.
Hutton began his Nursing career in 2002 after a career with UPS as Operations Manager and Industrial Engineering Supervisor. He now has a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University and a Master's degree in Nursing from Dominican University of California. Before joining the DMC team over a year ago, he worked as a Medical Surgical RN and an Emergency RN in South Florida, and as an instructor and Director of Nursing in Santa Clara, California.
"I can say with confidence that nursing is very challenging, but also very rewarding," Hutton said. "As the Corporate Director of Nursing for Dade Medical College, I want to establish and maintain professional working relationships with administrative authorities, faculty and other support units."
