The six-page study describes how Genea rebuilt its new control unit and fulfillment engine software using the Windows(R) 7 and Windows Server(R) 2008 Enterprise operating systems.

Genea's Building Optimization Platform (BOP) is a portfolio-wide SaaS application currently empowering hundreds of building owners and is focused on generating a combination of new and incremental revenues along with energy related savings to maximize the Net Operating Income across an entire portfolio. Microsoft's case study describes how Genea wanted to create a reliable, secure and fast-performing Web-hosted version of its Building Optimization Platform. Genea worked with HarborObjects, a Microsoft certified partner, to rebuild its new control unit and fulfillment engine software using the Windows(R) 7 and Windows Server(R) 2008 Enterprise operating systems.

As a result, Genea increased its application component performance by 35 percent; enhanced the security and reliability of the platform, and streamlined its platform management via remote access capabilities.
