George Winston to Donate Artist Royalties from His Two Latest Releases To Families of the Victims of the September 11th Tragedies

    NEW YORK, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- George Winston has announced that he
 will donate his artist royalties from the release of Autumn 20th Anniversary
 Edition CD, his breakthrough 1980 Windham Hill debut solo piano album. This
 new enhanced CD includes a new bonus track, extended liner notes and the sheet
 music to his original song "Longing/Love." This CD was released on September
 11, and is now available wherever music is sold.
     On October 16th, George will also release a new five-song benefit CD
 entitled Laments. This project was conceived in the aftermath of the horrific
 September 11 tragedies. 100% of his artist royalties from the sale of this CD
 will also benefit the families of the victims.  This recording has two brand
 new original solo piano compositions ("Lament," "Remembrance"), two solo
 guitar pieces ("Son and Daughter," "Where are You Now"), and a solo harmonica
 medley ("Farewell," "My Country 'Tis of Thee," and "Taps").
