NEW YORK, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) announced today it will be invading New York City on Saturday, November 4, 2000 for an all star event. Making their first appearance at Madison Square Garden, the PBR's one night engagement is a special event that will be part of the prestigious 117th National Horse Show. The PBR will truck into Manhattan 3 million pounds of dirt, 90,000 pounds of steel and 160,000 pounds of bull as the top 45 bull riders in the world, including the 2000 PBR Bud Light Cup World Champion, will be invited to compete for a $100,000 purse. No longer your "Daddy's Rodeo," the PBR is danger, excitement and 110 percent pure adrenaline. The PBR has taken the most popular event from traditional rodeo -- bull riding -- and made it into a standalone sport. "The PBR All-Star Shootout will cap off one of the most successful seasons in professional bull riding and will give New Yorkers an eye-opening look at bull riding at its best."
