Gilt Groupe, Inc. Names Michelle Peluso to Board of Directors
NEW YORK, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Online luxury retailer Gilt Groupe, Inc. announces the addition of Michelle Peluso to their board of directors. Former President and CEO of Travelocity, Peluso brings a tenure of brand development, consumer marketing and expertise in e-commerce to the company. In this new position, Peluso contributes a veteran e-commerce industry perspective to further guide and enhance the strategic development of the Gilt Groupe brand.

Peluso spent the previous six years as president and CEO of Travelocity and Executive Vice President of Sabre Holding Corp. Prior, she served as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, Chief Executive Officer of travel Web site Site59.com and as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Labor and White House Fellow, allowing her to be named to lists such as the Wall Street Journal's "Top 50 Women to Watch" and Fast Company's "Fast 50." Peluso earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and her Masters degree in Economics, Philosophy and Politics from Pembroke College at Oxford University, where she was a Thouron scholar.
