NEW YORK, June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Glass Shack Films announces the off network premiere of "Street Academy", a brand-new original sitcom about recent college graduates who fall for the sexy world of social media. Beginning Thursday, June 27 at 8pm ET / PT.

From programmers being asked to craft viral videos to interviewees being asked if they pick fights, everything in Street Academy is just a little outside of the box. So come along and meet the world of ZOTTA, the social media company where the name is meaningless, the boss is mad, and the workers run wild. This might just be the strangest workplace you've ever seen.

Talking about the unusual way he approached Street Academy, writer and director Paul Pearce said, "Although the show is scripted we let the actors loose at certain points in the scenes. This use of improv created some real dialogue surprises."

The show stars Tim Gilliss (Warrior Transition, Unspoken) who portrays Jesse, a programming whiz; Denise Christine (The Confession, What Lies Ahead), who plays Angela, a social media maven, with hundreds of thousands of followers on her fake Twitter accounts; Jessica Renee Russell (Hole in the Wall, Die With Me) as Jenny who see's things differently; Brian Stuart Boyd (Suck It Up Buttercup, Syd & Joe) as Jack, their slightly unhinged boss, who only cares about getting clients through the door; Chris Charles (Occupy 50th Street, Sleep) portrays Liam, Jack's long-suffering employee; and Gabrielle Young  (The Network, Dead Rising) as the company's disinterested receptionist.
