Glory Foods Continues Sweet Potato Expansion in Florida

    COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Glory Foods fresh Mound Bayou Sweet
 Potatoes are now available at Winn-Dixie stores in Tampa, St. Petersburg,
 Sarasota, Fort Meyers, Naples and Clearwater, Florida.  The sweet potatoes are
 also available in Albertson's supermarkets throughout Florida.
     Glory Foods Mound Bayou Sweet Potatoes are grown and harvested by the
 Sweet Potato Growers Association Co-Op in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, an
 historic black farming community founded in the late 1800's.  The new line
 features the Beauregard, the number one producing variety of sweet potato in
 the country.  The Beauregard is a popular sweet potato with growers and
 consumers because of its natural sweet taste and plumpness.
     Versatile and nutritious, sweet potatoes are becoming a major staple in
 the family diet.  A spokesperson at USDA notes that consumption of sweet
 potatoes is on the rise because of their natural nutritional value (high
 levels of Beta-Carotene, Vitamins A and C).
