Social Listening combined with SMS notification automates Twitter keyword monitoring

NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Gnosis Arts Media Group has created a Twitter monitoring app to send SMS (text) messages when conversations using specific keywords happen on Twitter.

"The amazing thing about this new tool is that you can be anywhere, at any time of the day and as people are online tweeting using your keywords, you will receive an SMS update and be able to connect with them," said Cara Sanfelice, social media intern.

Currently users can receive up to three text message alerts per day, and they are limited to 3 keywords during this beta test period. The service is limited as such to avoid annoyance or overage charges. "With the staggering mass of tweets going out on Twitter at any given time, we didn't want to bombard users with text messages every time one of their keywords pops up on the grid," Sanfelice explained. "But text messages include a link to the 20 most recent mentions of the keyword on Twitter so that you won't miss any important conversations."

The service is currently free of cost, but standard data messaging rates may apply.
