The new location marks the 10th store Goodwill has in Baltimore County. Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake will now have 30 retail locations in its territory which covers Central Maryland and the Eastern Shore. The 15,000 square foot location will create ten new jobs in the community. Area residents will also be able to donate unwanted clothing and household items at the location.
"This will be an exciting shopping experience for treasure hunters and budget-conscious customers alike," said Lisa Rusyniak, Goodwill President & CEO. "The store will be stocked with unique and dozens of name brand items that you just can't find at the malls or online that are so deeply discounted—that's what our shoppers call the 'thrill of the hunt'. Carroll Island will be a great location for our customers, and create much needed jobs in the community."
By donating and shopping at Goodwill, consumers help fund job training and placement programs for those with disabilities or other disadvantaging conditions.
