Governor Corbett Issues Flag Order to Honor Fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker Jr.
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett ordered all flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities in Philadelphia County to fly at half-staff starting Monday, Aug. 27, to honor Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker Jr. , who was killed on Aug. 18.
This order will remain in effect until sundown on Monday, Aug. 27, the date of Officer Walker's funeral.
Under a separate order issued by Gov. Corbett, flags at the Capitol Complex and in Butler County will be at half-staff on Monday to honor Army Staff Sgt. Eric S. Holman of Butler County. He was killed in action on Aug. 15 in Afghanistan.
All Pennsylvanians are invited to join in these tributes.
