Dickey's Barbecue Heading to North Dakota

GRAND FORKS, N.D., Feb. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Josh Becker is bringing Dickey's Barbecue Pit to Grand Forks.

"When I moved to North Dakota, I looked up barbecue and all that came up were Chinese food restaurants," said franchise owner Becker. "There was a desperate need for barbecue here."

Becker was a pilot in the Air Force. He left because of the overage of officers. He wanted to begin a new chapter in his life and Dickey's seemed to be the perfect fit.

"I knew I wanted to own a barbecue restaurant and I have always loved Dickey's so I am extremely excited. I also love the fact that Dickey's has shown much support for Veterans and respective organizations," said Becker.
