PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Gray Consulting International (GCI) today announced its intent to retire the company's award winning meetings and incentives business in order to focus on the company's clinical trial services division, Clincierge®. Since its founding in 1994, GCI's business has been heavily concentrated serving the meetings needs of the pharmaceutical industry. This focus has included internal management meeting, sales meetings and incentives, and product launches, as well as external physician education, and advisory board and investigator meetings.
Scott Gray, Gray Chief Executive Officer commented, "Over the past year, Clincierge, our business division that brings highly personalized patient-centric services and genuine hospitality to the clinical trials community on a global basis, has experienced over 700 percent growth. We are clearly meeting a major need with our services and technology, which are aimed at improving trial performance, transparency, and communications between stakeholders: patients, clinical trial site personnel, and trial sponsors and clinical research organizations. As a result, we have decided to retire our general corporate meetings and incentives business to focus on this substantial growth opportunity."
Gray will continue operating all currently contracted meetings through 30 June 2017. During the next six months, the company will finalize and implement customized transition plans that meet the needs of each client. The company will also continue to serve clinical investigator meeting needs under Clincierge for all Clincierge-supported clinical trials, as the trial site education and other interactions that occur during the clinical trial planning process are instrumental to improved overall clinical trial performance.
"We are proud to have earned the trust of so many of our meetings and incentives customers over the years, and it is our priority to establish that same trust across our transition partners to ensure that our clients' business needs continue to be met in the same high quality manner that GCI is known for delivering," said Kathy Murphy, GCI President.
Scott Gray and Kathy Murphy founded GCI in 1994 to produce corporate meetings and events for the pharmaceutical industry, and since 2007, GCI has been named seven times to the "Top 25 Full-Service Event Management Companies in North America" by MeetingsNet/corporate and incentives® magazine. To complement the growth of incentive travel programs, GCI established its GForce Promotional Products division in 2008, which was sold in September 2016 to DJB Specialties, Inc. of New Britain, PA. The company launched its Clincierge® division in 2015, to help improve clinical trial performance and the ability of drug sponsors and clinical research organizations to enroll and retain patients by bringing improved transparency, communications, and patient-focused services and hospitality to clinical trials. Today, Clincierge provides personalized services to patients, clinical trial site personnel and drug sponsors in more than 30 countries and 20 different languages.
