Green Bridge Industries, Inc. Partners With EPA To Support Environmentally Responsible Product Development
ZAP(TM) Stain Remover Pen Meets Requirements to Display Design for the Environment (DfE) Mark
RIDGEWOOD, N.J., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Green Bridge Industries, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GRBG) is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into a voluntary partnership with The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the agency's Design for the Environment (DfE) Program. The partnership recognizes Green Bridge Industries' commitment to formulate its products with more environmentally preferred ingredients. As part of the partnership program, the Company's ZAP™ Stain Remover Pen has been designated as a "partnership product," acknowledging the product's environmental and human health benefits after meeting all of the DfE Safer Product Labeling Program requirements. Accordingly, packaging for the ZAP™ Pen will be able to display the DfE logo and the words, "Recognized for Safer Chemistry." Examples of popular DfE recognized products include Palmolive Ultra Original Dishwashing Liquid, Shout® Citrus Action, Comet® Bathroom Spray, and Spic and Span® Citrus Fresh amongst others.
As part of the DfE Certification process, the ZAP Stain Remover Pen also had to meet efficacy standards in head-to-head testing versus its Nationally Branded competitors. In the test, which was conducted by NSF International, the ZAP Pen performed at overall levels equal to and beyond the Competitors.
EPA's Design for the Environment (DfE) works in partnership with industry, environmental groups, and academia to reduce risk to people and the environment by finding ways to prevent pollution. For more than 15 years, through partnership projects, DfE has evaluated human health and environmental concerns associated with traditional and alternative chemicals and processes in a range of industries. These analyses have empowered hundreds of businesses to select safer chemicals and technologies. DfE focuses on industries that combine the potential for chemical risk reduction with a strong motivation to make lasting, positive changes. DfE has evaluated and allowed more than 1,500 products to carry the DfE logo.
"We are delighted to partner with the EPA's Design for the Environment program. The DfE requirements support Green Bridge Industries' commitment to put the environment and consumer well-being at the center of product development and formulation not only for our ZAP Pen, but future products as well," stated David Gubb, CEO of Green Bridge Industries, Inc.
