Veteran Investment Banker to Head MLV's West Coast Presence and Expand Coverage of Technology Sectors

NEW YORK, Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McNicoll, Lewis & Vlak LLC (MLV), a boutique investment bank and institutional broker-dealer focused on capital-intensive industries, announced today that Gregory S. Curhan has joined the firm as a managing director. Curhan will expand the firm's technology sector coverage and develop the firm's presence on the West Coast. He will be based in San Francisco.

Most recently, Curhan was president and CEO of CleanTech Capital Consulting, Inc. which worked with a number of CleanTech companies in a variety of capacities. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2009, Curhan was president, chairman of the commitment committee and head of the CleanTech investment banking team at Merriman Curhan Ford & Co., a boutique investment bank he co-founded. For the first 18 years of his career, Curhan worked for a number of prominent technology-focused investment banks in San Francisco including Volpe Brown Whelan, where he was a partner and director of equities, Montgomery Securities, and Merrill Lynch. Curhan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
