The CEO of NACSA, Greg Richmond, brags that his organization and teachers unions are "in agreement" when "it comes to the issue of what charter schools should and should not do."
That's not a pro-school choice stance, says Expose Liberal Charter School Turncoats (ELECT) President Dan Curry.
"Parent choice in education exists because the one-size-fits-all model of public education has proven to be ineffective and harmful to students," Curry said. "For NACSA to be in lock-step with union bosses who want to perpetuate that system exposes them as anti-school choice."
NACSA's close ties to the teachers unions mirrors its liberal funding sources from organizations that promote federal mandates of Common Core and other extreme positions even outside of education policy.
Curry is asking legislators to take note.
"Legislators must beware of the groups pushing extreme agendas in their states," Curry concluded. "School choice is a crucial issue for parents and children and education policy shouldn't be made in coordination with an anti-school choice wolf in sheep's clothing."
