Growth in IT Outsourcing & Cloud Hosting Pushes Lenexa Data Center to Launch Expansion Arsalon Technologies Next Phase Will Open Ahead of Schedule to Helps Clients Grow
LENEXA, Kan., May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The announcement for Arsalon Technologies to open phase two of their Lenexa data center comes on the heels of regional business' increasing demand for cloud hosting solutions and IT outsourcing. The Arsalon hosting facility expansion will be available for clients by the third quarter of this year and create up to 25 new positions.
Companies are turning to data centers as a way to avoid the high cost of building and managing their own hosting facilities. As this internet infrastructure outsourcing trend progresses, industry experts estimate that 7 out of 10 companies are using a virtual environment for a portion of their IT infrastructure. Arsalon's services in managed and cloud hosting solutions give clients the ability to transition their current IT infrastructure with dramatically less upfront investment in servers or software licensing.
The $5 million project is funded through Arsalon's long standing partnership with Bank of Blue Valley and calls to double the raised floor space within the company's newest 50,000 square foot data center facility which opened in June of 2010. The expansion plans include the installation of two-1.5MW Cummins generators with paralleling switch gears and redundant chillers, A/C units and UPS units. The project planning and construction is headed by Rand Construction, a national expert in critical facilities. Also on the team are Burns & McDonnell and Heartland Electric.
The expansion of the third Arsalon data center is perfectly situated in Kansas City for clients and also new hires. The hosting facility size and abundant supply of power and internet connectivity continues to attract regional companies while creating high-wage, highly-skilled job opportunities for metro residents over the next 24 months.
"The demand for high quality data center infrastructure and enterprise class hosting services has continued to be strong," said Arsalon CEO, Gary Hall. "Our clients require scalable power and bandwidth. They need a reliable solution for their IT operations and we help them do it in a capital-efficient way. Our track record of continual growth over the past ten years reflects our ability to problem solve and consistently provide innovative, secure hosting solutions for our new and current client base."
