ST. LOUIS, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Harbour Group has acquired LBL Lighting, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of lighting products, Sam Fox, Harbour Group's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, announced today. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. LBL, based in Chicago Heights, Ill., designs and manufactures a wide range of lighting products, including low-voltage systems such as tracks, pendants, heads and sconces, as well as traditional line-voltage products such as chandeliers, ceiling fixtures, outdoor lighting, and portable lamps. LBL sells its high-quality, high-design lighting products to both the residential and commercial lighting markets through a broad network of retail lighting showrooms and lighting specifiers/designers. The company maintains a website at http://www.lbllighting.com . LBL will complement Harbour Group's Lighting Products Group, which includes Tech Lighting. Mr. Fox commented, "LBL has developed an outstanding reputation as a developer of innovative lighting products. LBL's products are extremely high quality and design-driven, just like Tech's products, yet their styles are quite different. The look of an LBL product is organic and artistic whereas Tech's products have a more refined and contemporary look. These businesses complement each other extremely well." "LBL has been our passion. We've built our business into a premier designer of high-quality lighting products," said Ronald Stone, LBL's founder. "Harbour Group recognized the value we've created and was able to work with us to meet our goals. Tech Lighting is an outstanding company and the professionals at Harbour Group have been great. As operators, the value they bring to the equation is clear. We expect this to be an extremely valuable partnership." Mr. Fox further commented, "The lighting sector remains extremely fragmented. There are many high quality companies with fantastic products in attractive niches. We are excited about our Lighting Products Group and will continue to aggressively grow our business both organically and through complementary acquisitions." Harbour Group is a privately owned company based in St. Louis, Missouri. Harbour Group and its operating companies are engaged in the manufacture and distribution of a wide variety of consumer and industrial products, including architectural lighting products, automotive enthusiast products and catalogs, entertainment products, lubricating systems and equipment, auxiliary plastic processing equipment, pre-engineered building components, and heat exchange equipment.
