TUNICA, Miss., April 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Harrah's Tunica amenities are not affected by rising Mississippi River levels and will remain open and functioning while Tunica casino operations temporarily close.

The Mid-South Convention Center, Veranda Hotel, Terrace Hotel, Bellissimo Spa, Links at Cottonwoods Golf Course, and Willows Sporting Clays are all protected by the Mississippi River levee system and will remain open and functional while Tunica casinos temporarily close due to the rising water level.

As always, the safety and security of our employees and guests is our primary concern," said R. Scott Barber, Regional President, Caesars Mid-South. "At this time we are preparing to close the Harrah's Casino barge on Sunday, May 1 and the Horseshoe Casino and Tunica Roadhouse Casino barges on Monday, May 2."

The staggered closing schedule is determined by location and in accordance with the Mississippi Gaming Commission's recent order of closure.

Please Note the following facilities will not be affected by the rising Mississippi River level and WILL REMAIN OPEN REGARDLESS OF RIVER LEVEL.

• Terrace Hotel at Harrah's Tunica
• Veranda Hotel and Harrah's Tunica
• Bellissimo Spa at Harrah's Tunica
• Cottonwoods Golf Course at Harrah's Tunica
• Mid-South RV Park at Harrah's Tunica
• Willows Hunting Center and Sporting Clays at Harrah's Tunica has been relocated and will remain open as well.
