BOSTON, April 17, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Alumni Forum Services announces the launch of Alumni Forums with the Harvard Business School (HBS) Alumni Associations of Northern California and Southern California, bringing the peer support forum model to HBS Alumni across the country, from coast-to-coast. Alumni Forum Services, at http://www.alumniforumservices.com, now operates 30 Harvard Business School Alumni Forums in seven major metropolitan areas in the U.S. and Canada, with many more on the horizon in 2013.

Initiated in 2009 in Boston, MA the HBS Association Alumni Forum is a peer group comprised of eight to 12 business school alumni who meet monthly, subscribing to an operating paradigm that helps them grow personally and professionally. By design, members of a Forum have no personal or business connections and, following a specific Alumni Forum protocol, work together to build an atmosphere of confidentiality, trust and respect.

Alumni Forum Services co-founder and managing director Bob Halperin (MBA 1982), considers his Alumni Forum to be, "The place where I can take off my 'game face' and share what's going on in my life. The emotional content. The challenges. And I have the chance to learn from other people's experience in that setting." Halperin values his Forum as "A group of peers who have no other interest than in helping me make the right decisions for myself."

Other HBS alumni also recognize the value of the program, as evidenced by HBS alumni participation in the hundreds, and growing. "Most HBS alumni events (and I have attended many over the years) involve casually socializing with other alumni. In contrast, my recently launched Alumni Forum has been the most impactful HBS-related experience I have had since graduating, allowing for far deeper and meaningful conversation," comments Marc Zablatsky (MBA 1992), former president of the HBS Association of Boston.

The California HBS Associations join HBS Clubs and Associations offering Alumni Forums in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York City, Washington, DC and Toronto. Under the auspices of selected HBS Clubs, Alumni Forum Services offers the Alumni Forum program to all HBS alumni in participating cities.
