"I am very happy and grateful to share this event with such a special organization. HBIF has created, and continues to create, invaluable support to help entrepreneurs in the Hispanic community succeed," says José R. Mas.
José R. Mas leads MasTec, one of the most prestigious and diversified companies in the U.S., as well as one of the leading providers of infrastructure services in the country. MasTec currently has more than 18,000 employees and more than 400 locations across the U.S. In 2015 they reported $4.2 billion in revenue.
"It's a real honor to count on the presence of José R. Mas so that he can share his own life story, which will surely be an inspiration for those beginning to realize their dream of entrepreneurship and having their own business," says Myrna Sonora, vice president of HBIF in South Florida. "Mr. Mas is a leading Hispanic entrepreneur whom we should all want to hear, and our event is a unique opportunity to do so."
The Success Stories Luncheon recognizes three of HBIF's clients who have demonstrated success as entrepreneurs. With over 400 expected attendees, HBIF brings together the business community of South Florida to celebrate Hispanic entrepreneurship. Funds raised through the event help provide consulting and grants for technical assistance to Hispanic entrepreneurs. These include business plans, marketing, website development and legal assistance, among others.
Event sponsors: AT&T, Bank of America, Walmart, 1 First Bank, UDT, JP Morgan Chase, T&G Constructors and Telemundo.
