The CementBloc and Coore Foundation Launch Grow Sole, Multichannel Campaign to Provide Shoes for Children in Developing Countries
NEW YORK, Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Shoes keep feet warm and dry, but they also help prevent infections and diseases like tetanus and hookworm. Girls and boys in developing nations need shoes so they can get to school and learn and stay healthy.
For the GROW SOLE project, the COORE Foundation and the CementBloc collaborated to send gently used shoes of all sizes to girls and boys in developing countries. The campaign merged the idea of shoes with soulfulness in true "360" fashion, appearing on posters, print ads, postcards and giant shoe donation bins around the world.
"The CementBloc is helping us making a meaningful impact on the lives of the children we serve. Their creative vision and commitment to the cause is bringing our cause to the forefront and I couldn't be happier with the work," said Marie-Anne Coore, Executive Director of the Coore Foundation.
Elizabeth Elfenbein, Partner, Creative at The CementBloc, led the effort to launch the campaign. "Partnering with the Coore Foundation on GROW SOLE has been extremely inspiring. I couldn't be more proud of the work and have been moved to go abroad with the foundation to volunteer on their next outreach program."
The Coore Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose primary goals are to provide education and resources designed to empower girls and build their self-esteem and to reduce HIV transmission among girls in developing countries. The CementBloc team is creating the branding and marketing communications for the organization.
Its work on behalf of the Coore Foundation represents The CementBloc's long-standing commitment to giving back to the community through pro bono and volunteer work.
