Heather Drucker Joins as Publicity Director for Bookspan

    NEW YORK, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Carole Baron, Senior Vice President &
 Publishing Director of Bookspan, announces the appointment of Heather Drucker
 to the newly created position of Publicity Director.
     In this new role, Drucker will conceptualize and execute publicity
 campaigns for the company's book clubs; develop and maintain relationships
 with publicity directors across the industry; generate press activities for
 the book clubs and publishing group; and plan and execute a wide variety of
 special events and author luncheons.

     Drucker has a varied knowledge of book publishing with a wide range of
 industry expertise across sales, special events and publicity.  She joins
 Bookspan from Kodansha America, where she was publicity manager.  Before that,
 she was a publicist at Tor Books/Tom Doherty & Associates, and she was a sales
 representative for City & Co. Publishers.  Prior to that, Drucker was part of
 the special events team at the World Trade Center Borders in New York City,
 having begun her career at a Borders in Atlanta.
