ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., Feb. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Eric Schroeder, Senior Vice President at Heffernan Insurance Brokers, Orange County, was named to the Marines' Memorial Association Board of Directors at their meeting in December 2011.   Schroeder will serve a three-year term as a Director, participating on the Board's Audit and Compliance Committee and the Living Memorial Committee. 

The Marines' Memorial Association is a San Francisco nonprofit Veterans' Membership organization, founded in 1946 to commemorate the service and sacrifices of military veterans, educate the public about those sacrifices, and provide services to the currently serving men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces.  The Association has more than 24,000 Veteran members.  The Association's flagship is the Marines' Memorial Club in downtown San Francisco, a "living memorial" to Americans who gave their lives while serving in the U.S. military. The Club's Union Square location includes a hotel, dining establishment, 646-seat theater, a health club, and banquet space. 

Schroeder joined Heffernan in the fall of 2011 after an 11-year tenure at another Orange County insurance brokerage firm, following his service in the United States Marine Corps.
