Helping Those In Need Get Back To Living Joint Implant Surgeons to provide free joint implants to the Columbus area
NEW ALBANY, Ohio, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The physicians of Joint Implant Surgeons are proud to be participating in Operation Walk USA 2012, on December 7th, to provide joint replacement surgeries to patients across the United States who would otherwise be unable to receive appropriate and much needed surgical care due to financial circumstances. With the entire cost of joint replacement being around $25-$30,000 and due to many people in our community in great need for this kind of service, the doctors at Joint Implant Surgeons felt they needed to be a part of addressing this issue. "Regardless of background and circumstances, everyone deserves access to quality medical care. This is the essence of Operation Walk USA – helping those in need to receive a new lease on life," says Dr. Adolph V. Lombardi, Jr.
The goal of Joint Implant Surgeon's Operation Walk USA is to identify local patients with no access to life-improving care for arthritis or other debilitating bone conditions affecting the knee and hip. Candidates for the program must be legal residents of the Mount Carmel service area, between 100% and 200% of the federal poverty level and ineligible for third-party pay or assistance including Medicaid.
Patients who believe they may qualify may call Dawn Buck, Patient Access Manager at 614-775-6334.
