Blackthorne Restaurant & Bar is Open in Ballantyne

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 8, 2012  /PRNewswire/ -- Hendrick Construction, Inc. has completed Blackthorne Restaurant & Bar – a 3,600-square-foot American bistro now open in Charlotte's Ballantyne neighborhood.

In Ballantyne Corners Shopping Center at North Community House Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Blackthorne features an approachable and warm interior with dark wood finishes, brick walls and a glass-tile accent wall. The restaurant also has an 1,800-square-foot rooftop patio that accommodates 100 people, as well as a bar with a concrete countertop and overhead heaters.

"We've created a comfortable setting with a cozy atmosphere that diners in Charlotte will love," said Blackthorne Owner Tim Duffy. "We also have a great location in one of Charlotte's most vibrant neighborhoods and busiest business districts."

The eclectic menu offers venison meatloaf and fried quail, as well as more traditional fare such as roasted chicken, pastas, soups and salads. Blackthorne has an extensive wine list and diverse selection of bottled beers, as well as a roster of 10 beers on tap – seven of which are from North Carolina.

The restaurant's downstairs features another bar and a private room for 20 guests that can be closed off with rolling barn doors. Other highlights include a large horseshoe booth in the main dining room, upholstered banquet tables and five flat-screen televisions.
