LANCASTER, Pa., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY) announced today that Gerald A. Gagliardi has been appointed to its Board of Directors. He will also serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee, replacing Admiral Robert Moore who passed away in October. The Company's Board now has six members, five of whom are non-employee directors.

Mr. Gagliardi's long business career in public companies includes 28 years at Burroughs Corporation/Unisys Corporation, where he served in executive positions, including President Global Customer Services and Corporate Executive Vice President. He later served as CEO and President at Inacom, and then as Corporate Vice President of NCR Corporation and President of Global Customer Service with responsibility for NCR's $2.5 billion service business operating in 130 countries and employing over 13,000 employees. He is currently Managing Partner of Lyme Technology, LLC, a company which provides consulting services to data processing and telecommunication companies. In addition, Mr. Gagliardi provides consulting services to Warburg Pincus, LLC, a New York-based private equity firm. He has been a director of several technology companies, serving on their audit and corporate governance committees.
