FULLERTON, Calif., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Graduate Education Department at Hope International University continues to expand its teacher education programs in the area of Gifted & Talented Students (GATE). The Master of Education with Concentration in GATE or GATE Certificate provides an opportunity for current GATE educators to further their education from a regionally accredited University.

These new programs meet the exemplary level recommended standards indicated by the California State Board of Education. Educators will be equipped in the areas of program design, identification, curriculum and instruction, social and emotional development, professional development, parent and community involvement, program assessment, and budgets.

Hope's unique program allows students to earn the professional development certificate while earning credit towards a master's degree. The GATE Certificate is 9 units. By taking 21 additional units, students can complete the Master of Education with GATE Concentration.

Hope's Education Department is recognized for its high number of graduates who have received the prestigious "Teacher of the Year" award, as well as other educational awards.
