Howdy Honda hosting free national child safety program in Austin, TX

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Howdy Honda, a premier Honda dealership in Austin, TX, will be hosting its 3^rd-annual free child safety fair on Friday, Sept. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Keeping Kids Safe Project, organized by S.I.P. Kids, a national child safety organization, will be providing free FBI quality digital fingerprints for children.

"Police officials say time is crucial in the recovery of missing children," said National Director of S.I.P. Kids Lytishya Borglum. "One major problem that costs precious time is gathering current photographs, fingerprints, and personal information to assist law enforcement agencies."

In addition to the fingerprinting exercise, the event will provide additional education as well. Howdy Honda has extended invitations to local organizations and law enforcement agencies to help educate children and their families on how to avoid dangerous situations.
