HP Hood Introduces Two New Flavors of New England's Favorite EggNog
Limited-edition Cinnamon and Pumpkin EggNog add flavor to holiday
entertaining and baking
CHELSEA, Mass., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, one of New England's
favorite holiday traditions just got even tastier. HP Hood, New England's
leading dairy products company, will spice up the season with the
introduction of two delicious new flavors of its holiday staple: Cinnamon
EggNog and Pumpkin EggNog.

Made with real cinnamon and real pumpkin, the limited-edition flavors
were developed by Hood's expert eggnog makers, using the company's
proprietary recipe that consumers have loved since it was first introduced
in 1953.
"Consumers have told us that they're always looking for new ideas for
entertaining during the holidays. We've responded by bringing fun, festive
flavors to our EggNog line this year," said Barry Boehme, Vice President of
Marketing for Hood. "In addition to our other eggnog offerings, Cinnamon
EggNog and Pumpkin EggNog give consumers more great options for cooking and
baking."
Whether served by the glass or incorporated into family-friendly
recipes, Hood EggNog has been a staple in homes across New England for more
than 50 years. Hood's beloved recipe blends extra creamy milk with sugared
egg yolks, cane sugar and a unique combination of nutmeg and rum flavoring
to make only the highest-quality eggnog beverage.
In addition to its two new Cinnamon and Pumpkin flavors, Hood offers a
variety of eggnog products for every taste and lifestyle: rich and creamy
Golden EggNog; Vanilla EggNog, with pure vanilla extract; Light EggNog,
providing all the great taste of Hood EggNog with less fat; and No Sugar
Added, EggNog Flavored Fat Free Milk, using nonfat milk to meet the needs
of health-conscious consumers.
All Hood EggNog products and flavors will be available at most grocery
retailers throughout New England from the first week of November until
January 2007. For those who want to enjoy eggnog after the holiday season,
Hood EggNog can be frozen for up to six months.
Consumers who take pride in their baking can enter their home-grown
recipes using Hood holiday products into the company's second annual
Holiday Recipe Contest, where the winning entry will receive a grand prize
of a two-night, three-day vacation package to The Balsams Resort in the
White Mountains of New Hampshire. The official Hood Holiday Recipe Contest
Online Entry Form will be available at http://www.hood.com in early
November.
