IABC/Chicago Member Rosanne Belczak Earns Accreditation Designation

CHICAGO, April 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Chicago) has recognized Rosanne Belczak for earning the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) designation from IABC.

"To earn this globally accepted credential, Rosanne demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in a range of communication practices," said Tom Keefe, ABC, IABC/Chicago president. "Accredited Business Communicators bring a high level of value to their organizations and clients by practicing strategic communication management. I'm thrilled to welcome Rosanne as our newest ABC."

Rosanne Belczak, ABC, is the principal/founder of Write Move Communications, a consulting firm specializing in internal and external communication services. Belczak is an established professional in business and interpersonal communication with extensive senior management and strategic planning experience in marketing, communications, and human resources.

Belczak's marketing campaigns have been recognized with awards from banking and customer service industry organizations. Belczak received her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating magna cum laude with highest distinction from the Communications Department.  She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and American Bankers Association.

"Earning my ABC has been one of the most fulfilling challenges of my career," said Belczak. "The mentoring and knowledge I received was like finding the Holy Grail for business project management and strategic planning. I cannot recommend this program enough."

Belczak joins a select group of accredited business communicators – about 1,100 worldwide and 19 in the Chicago area. IABC's accreditation process consists of a rigorous evaluation that identifies and recognizes highly qualified, well-rounded communicators through a review of their portfolio of work, as well as written and oral examinations.

A study of accredited business communicators in seven countries found that IABC's accreditation program is a gateway to learning and advancing the practice of strategic communication management. A majority of current and former supervisors who participated in the study said ABCs provided more credibility to their departments or organizations, while a majority of clients perceived ABCs as having an increased understanding of effective communication practices. Large majorities of the ABCs surveyed said that becoming accredited improved their resumes, increased their confidence, enhanced their credibility and gave them peer approval and recognition.

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a global network of communication professionals committed to improving organizational effectiveness through strategic communication. Established in 1970, IABC serves more than 15,000 members in 70 countries and 100 chapters. IABC/Chicago (http://chicago.iabc.com) is the oldest IABC chapter in the world.
