    SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Under the Radar, a one-day event,
focused on enterprise solutions, will showcase 32 emerging companies with less
than three rounds of funding. Under the Radar will take place on November 16,
2005 at the Microsoft campus in Mountain View, CA.
The event will feature eight categories including: security -- insider
threat, identity management, next-generation business intelligence, messaging
 and collaboration, source-code management, second-generation RFID, data-center
 virtualization, and mobile productivity tools.
"As we were developing the Under the Radar program, one the first
decisions we made is that Open Source, in itself, should not be an actual
category featured in the program. So many of the companies' solutions were
built using Open Source or AJAX," said Debbie Landa, CEO of IBDNetwork. "To
us, Open Source is really a business model. And its rapid adoption by the
enterprise will put pressure on proprietary software vendors to develop
 Open-Source alternatives."
