MONTREAL, June 19, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Imaflex Inc. ("Imaflex" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce the appointment of Ralf Dujardin, PhD., as Vice President of Marketing and Innovation. Commencing on July 1, 2013, Dr. Dujardin's focus, in this newly created position, will be to accelerate the commercialization of Imaflex's agricultural mulch films, foster relationships with agricultural growers and distributors throughout the world, and build a pipeline of new and innovative agricultural products based on his and Imaflex's plastics expertise.
Dr. Dujardin joins Imaflex after spending 26 years within the Bayer organization. Dr. Dujardin started his career with Bayer in 1986 as a polymer chemist. He was most recently Portfolio Manager and Senior Project Manager at Bayer Innovation GmbH in Germany. In this role, he was responsible for strategically building a portfolio of innovative products and intellectual property, which included active ingredient equipped plastics for the agriculture market. Prior to this role, Dr. Dujardin was Vice President Corporate Venturing and Business Development, where he managed a fund of approximately €25 million in selected material and life science investments. Dr. Dujardin completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Siegen in Germany in 1986.
