Improving Our Democracy by Reforming the Constitution to Benefit all Parties

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., July 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Tea Party members, Centrists, and Occupiers must come to the realization that our national government has become the central problem in reaching your objectives, no matter if political, economic, tax policy, entitlements, or whatever.  You cannot achieve success under the continuing legislative process and executive leadership that has become so dysfunctional!

All of our activists need the necessary democratic structure of a properly functioning government to achieve their aims.  We cannot expect the Congress to bring about needed Constitutional change, but state legislatures can do so under Article V of the U.S Constitution.  If two-thirds call for a convention and subsequently three-fourths of the states ratify the proposed amendments we could realize a true democracy representing the Will of its Citizens!

Think of it!! We could have the framework of a shining new democracy, with term limits on members of Congress, lobbying made illegal, limits on campaign financing and duration, a fair tax policy, restraints on the presidency and so on and on and on!!!

Some powerful private and governmental interests in our country are overjoyed to continue to have the present division and dysfunction of current and future Federal Governments operating within the existing Constitutional framework.  Why?  Because they see no possibility of change that can bother their interest!!

All of those from any political spectrum should unite in order to have the means and possibility of achieving your objectives through Constitutional reform.   Amendments can emerge to form a true and functional democracy!!!!!  Go to State Capitols, reach out to their Legislators, and eventually common ground will be found.  States have many differences with the federal government and they also are desperate for solutions to their problems.  It may take years to succeed, but we all know popular movements can get started rapidly these days.

Free thinkers among us should do all we can to save and reform our failing government. We have nothing to lose but the chains of its dysfunctional operation!
