Indiana Sales of Hennessy Cognac to Raise Funds for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund
NEW YORK, June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Hennessy, the number one cognac in
the world, announced it will raise funds for the Thurgood Marshall College
Fund. From now through mid July, proceeds from every sale of Hennessy
Cognac in Indiana will be donated to the Fund, which provides resources,
opportunities and advocacy to 47 Public Historically Black Colleges and
Universities (HBCUs).
Hennessy sales at all Indiana retail and restaurant locations in the
state will generate proceeds to benefit the campaign. Consumers can
participate by purchasing Hennessy Cognac from now through mid July.
"We are pleased to continue our longstanding partnership with the
Thurgood Marshall College Fund and its mission of preparing a new
generation of leaders by sending young people to college," said Maurice
Hennessy, Public Relations Ambassador for Hennessy and eighth generation
descendent of the founder of the company. "Moet Hennessy believes strongly
in giving back to communities and organizations that have a direct impact
on future generations."

Thurgood Marshall College Fund during a V.I.P. Meet & Greet cocktail party
prior to the Indiana Black Expo Gala on Friday, July 10. The Indiana Black
Expo is devoted to the social and economic advancement for

contributions to the community. Dr. Rawls was the Assistant Dean and
Clinical Professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine and
is currently Professor Emeritus. He is being honored for his passion about
education and dedication to assisting African-American medical students in
becoming physicians.
