Innovolt Announces Ben Grimes As Chief Technology Officer
Industry Innovator Adds Additional Research and Development Depth; Resources Further Technological Advancements to Protect and Manage Business Critical Electronics
ATLANTA, Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovolt, the leading provider of Intelligent Electronics Management Technology, today announced Ben Grimes as Chief Technology Officer. Grimes is a C-Level executive with more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, specifically in managed services, product development and infrastructure solutions.
Prior to joining Innovolt, Grimes was founder and CEO of BRG Strategy group, where he advised numerous companies from startups to Fortune 500 firms on technology, business strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and engineering team development. In addition, Grimes served for three years as the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President for Avocent and had a 17 year career with IBM where he developed nine patents.
Grimes is responsible for leading the expanding Research and Development (R&D) team at Innovolt to support the company's explosive growth. He is charged with continued innovation of the Innovolt technology from core power protection into broader electronics environmental protection, based on strong analytics and managed service offerings. "Building on his experience in data center infrastructure management, Ben will bring his previous practice into Innovolt's breadth of vertical markets and managed services allowing the company to expand its market leadership position," stated Jeff Spence , COO and President of Innovolt.
Expanded R&D Capital to Fuel Rapid Technology Development and Deployment
In addition to Grimes, Innovolt adds depth to its R&D team with appointments of Vince Luciani as head of Research and Eugene Bright as head of Development. Both Luciani and Bright bring long term industry expertise in design and development of power systems with strong analytical backgrounds. Also, the engineering staff has been expanded with the addition of Mark Barton and Steven Holman to Innovolt's engineering team at the facilities in South Florida.
"We are focused on developing a pool of exceptional talent and the R&D team is mission critical. Our new team members will continue strengthening Innovolt's leading electronics management technology. Our company set the bar for this technology and under Ben's guidance, our technology platform will rise to a new level, providing industry changing solutions previously unimaginable that will propel our customers business as well as our own," continued Spence.
Innovolt Technology: Critical to Creating High Performance Business Environments
Innovolt's proprietary and patented electronics management technology is cost-effective, highly scalable, integratable, and proven to significantly increase product reliability and lifespan. Where deployed, companies have experienced a discernible decrease in service calls on protected equipment.
"Innovolt's technology has been globally adopted across multiple verticals and continues to evolve at a rapid pace. However, there is much more to come and as we build on the capabilities of the technology and deliver new services, our market reach will increase," said Ben Grimes , CTO of Innovolt. "Look for continued developments from our team, developments that are unmatched in the industry today."
Innovolt's technology solves a host of common power problems that most businesses pay for through shortened electronics lifespan and decreased product reliability — both of which are counterproductive and affect the way organizations operate.
