Insurers Commit to Manheim Arabia in the Gulf Cooperation Council
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- In a major step forward for salvage remarketing in the GCC, a number of major insurers and corporate clients have selected Manheim Arabia to remarket their insurance salvage vehicles. Following an exhaustive review of salvage remarketing across the region, Manheim Arabia has invested locally to expand its specialised automotive operations and better meet the needs of the industry.
"We are delighted that major insurers and corporate clients will partner with Manheim Arabia for the delivery of their remarketing needs across the GCC. By managing the auction of automotive write offs on a web based remarketing platform, we are delivering industry leading service via world class technologies on behalf of important clients," said David Grey, Director of Salvage for Manheim Arabia.
The Manheim Bid Now(R) system is 100% internet based, allowing registered bidders from any country or location to bid on salvage vehicles listed for auction. Delivering internet based solutions to buyers and sellers means insurers can remarket salvage vehicles on a global basis. Using Manheim Arabia's world-class website (www.manheimarabia.com) will provide buyers with greater opportunities to bid in salvage auctions, without regard for borders or time zones allowing them to use an easy and convenient method that they haven't had before.
The Manheim Bid Now(R) system also operates across Australia, New Zealand and Thailand and the transition into Arabic means that it can now be used by an even greater volume of bidders throughout the Gulf region.
A fast track start for the new system means it will be up and running by mid November and will bring to the region the latest internet remarketing technologies which will benefit both clients and buyers.
"Auctions of wrecked vehicles are the predominant method of remarketing across the globe and we are excited that Manheim Arabia can now provide this service to insurers across the GCC," continued Grey. "We manage 85,000 salvage units per annum (representing over 375 million dirham's) on behalf of industry in Australasia and Thailand and this significant step into the Gulf States enables insurers to engage global buyers without added transport costs or internal management processes."
