Investments of Macquarie Group Limited in Aureus Mining Inc.

TORONTO, Nov. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Macquarie Group Limited ("Macquarie") announces that, due to the recent acquisition of 11,088,000 common shares, it now has ownership of 20,802,120 common shares and 2,428,530 warrants of Aureus Mining Inc. ("Aureus Mining"), each warrant convertible into one common share at the price of GBP 0.625 (or the Canadian equivalent thereof). To Macquarie's knowledge, this represents approximately 10.3% of the issued and outstanding shares of Aureus Mining, on a partially-diluted basis.

Macquarie has acquired the shares for investment purposes only.  Depending on market and other conditions, Macquarie may change its beneficial ownership of, or potential deemed control or direction over, shares of Aureus Mining through market transactions, private agreements, treasury issuances, exercise of options, convertible securities or otherwise.
