 provider of dynamic content delivery acceleration products, made its debut
 today and introduced the Ipedo Directory Cache(TM), the industry's first
 dynamic LDAP directory cache, and the first in a family of dynamic content
 delivery products Ipedo is developing to accelerate Internet and wireless
 applications.  The Ipedo Directory Cache breaks the application bottleneck
 behind the firewall, enabling portals and B2B exchanges to deliver
 personalized content and transactions faster, ASPs to fulfill service level
 agreements and wireless service providers to meet the challenge of scaling
 personalized applications to millions of subscribers.
     Directories are repositories for critical application data such as user
 profiles, and with every online application becoming personalized, the faster
 this data can be served up, the faster applications can start delivering
 customized pages and processing transactions.  Combining directory server
 technology and in-memory dynamic caching with the latest 64-bit environments,
 the Ipedo Directory Cache installs easily in front of existing LDAP directory
 servers, enabling them to respond to directory queries up to ten times faster
 than possible before for time-critical personalization, security and
 provisioning operations.

     The all-Java Ipedo Directory Cache works with any LDAP v3 directory
 server, including those from iPlanet, Novell and IBM, and installs quickly
 with no disruption to back-end servers.  Multiple caches accessing a single
 master directory can store redundant sets of information for high
 availability, or the data can be split up among the multiple caches to boost

 software and services work well for static HTML pages and images, but do not
 offer anything for dynamically changing Web applications or personalized
 content.  While improving delivery of static content from the network edge can
 accelerate Web page delivery, Web caching does not help the performance of
 back-end tiers, such as the database or application servers.  Given the trend
 toward more dynamic content and more personalized Web sites, this inadequacy
